New Life in Washington!

So its been a while and a lot has happened in the last few months. Nathan has finally graduated from BYU-I, we had been filling out job applications since about January and it finally paid off. Nathan got an interview with Boeing (or so he thought). They paid for us all to drive up to Seattle and so we went with Nathan. Waiting for the interview to be done was stressful and when Nathan got back I had paced a hole in the carpet. He said that the interview had gone well but that he hadent interviewed with Boeing. That was a shock because Nathan had spent a lot of time researching interviews for Boeing. The interview turned out to be for a company called BE Aerospace which does work on after market installations for airplanes made by Boeing and Air Bus.
It all turned out good and in the end we got the job. We had about 3 weeks to find a place and move to the seattle area and that was stressful because we didn't have a clue what areas were good. Luckily we had help from ward members and a few Bishops out in Washington. We found a place on creigslist and called them up hopping it would work out as we only had about a week until we were to be in Washington. It turned out great and we got the place. and now we are here in WA about 45 min north of Seattle. Nathan has started his job and likes it and me and the kids are getting used to the new place!
This is our new place, it is a duplex and we are on the left side.
This is when we came out for the interview. We got to walk along the waterfront on the sound in Seattle city its self and it was a really beautiful night.
And this is Nathan the graduated man who as we speak is hard at work bring'n home the bacon (I told Zoie this and she gave me a funny look and said "your silly mom")

Happy Valentines

Happy Valentines Nathan my love,

This is my 5th valentines with you and I can say that I love you more and more each year. I don't know what I would do without you. I thank the day I decided to come to school in Idaho and I haven't looked back once. You are my rock, your love and support keep me going through all of my troubles. You take care of me when I'm sick or sad and always have a sympathetic ear for me. I don't think that there could be a better man for me.

I remember how I felt that day in the temple, you know, when we got married. I couldn't stop smiling and neither could you, I was so happy, I couldn't believe that I got the man of my dreams I know that you felt the same way also, I have never had a moment of doubt with you my love. After we got married my grandpa came to me and said he had never seen a couple so happy to be getting married as us. I don't know if he was just byest (I seriously cant spell that)but secretly I know it was true.
When our children were born you were there by my side. When ever I need you, I know I can count on you. Thank you for being mine this Valentines and for all the love before and forever after!!

Love
Kristen

Wigging out!!

So in November I was playing around on the internet and I came across this awesome yarn wig on Etsy. I thought that it was awesome and so I looked to see if there was a tutorial online and there was one for a long haired yarn wig for Halloween. I adapted it to make the ones you see here. Then for Christmas I took a wig to each of the family white elephant gift parties and took pictures of everyone who traded for the wig. It was awesome and I wanted to share the pictures with all of you. Hope you enjoy!! The picture on top is my mom (shirley) with my black and white Mohawk wig

Ducks of the DEAD

SO the other day I was at home with the kids and it is January and has been snowing nonstop for the last two months or so. Being stuck in the house all the time was making us all go a little crazy so I decided we needed to get out. I went to the porch and chizzled the stroller from Mt Everest and took it out front and set it up. I got the kids in with blankets piled on top and a slice of bread each to feed the ducks at the park and we were off.

The going was pretty good even considering my tires were a little flat and the road was snowy. We got to the park and started the loop that would lead us around th park to the ducks and that was when the going started getting ruff. I pushed the stroller over the bridge and onto icy snow. After that it was a battle to keep the stroller and myself upright as I chugged along.

We finally made it to the duck part and as we rounded the bend I could see about 50 ducks/giant farm geese all clumped together, that should have been our first warning. We walked over to them and I got out the two slices of bread, that was our second mistake only bringing two slices of bread for so many. I pulled out the bread and all the ducks and geese stared waddling as fast as they could in our direction. I didn't want them to get to close to me and the kids so I tore off a few pieces and tossed them to the mass. The mass didn't stop in their one minded progress with the giant farm geese honking and flapping in the front.

And that is the point where I promptly tossed the two whole slices of bread and ran with the geese in hot pursuit. They wouldn't call off the chase until I showed them the bag that had had the bread than luckily they called it off a bit.

At about that time a car drove up with an older lady and her grandchild and they had bread for the ducks. They asked if we were done and I said we were and had been afraid that once the ducks ran out of bread they would eat us. The lady laughed and pulled out some bread to toss. Just than a big goose came and almost jumped into her car through the window. She rolled up her window lickity split and would only roll it down just enough to toss some bread. Me and the kids watched from a safe distance and the kids laughed when they tossed big chunks and the geese would spear the bread on their beaks and split with about 20 ducks on their tails. It was quite exciting.

Our outing turned out to be fun and we went home feeling not as caged. It was exciting.

Sunday and costumes

Sorry the words are at the bottom of the post I really don't know how to move them up so this is what we get. So this is sort of a random post, its got some of the kids in their new Sunday clothes and some Halloween but not all. I have taken a lot of pictures lately and we have had a lot of fun so if I am on top of things I will hopefully post a couple more times in the near future and get the rest of the Halloween pics up.

Desk Model

So the most exciting thing has happened... We finally got an ARMOIRE and it is so beautiful!! For the last little while I have been bugging Nathan about getting an armoire because I hate all of the clutter the computer collects and I wanted to be able to close it away, also Isaac my wonderful child who is very inquisitive has been getting into things on the computer, like turning on and off the internet and pulling all of the weights out of the mouse.

I have been looking on craigslist and walmart and not finding anything too grand but than Jen found this one at DI for 40 dollars and it was perfect. Anyway we got it yesterday and we were going to sell our old desk so I got the camera out to take pictures and Zoie came over and started posing which is strange because she hates having her picture taken. I wanted to post these pictures cause they are so cute!!

Also you may want to note the amazingly awesome Lavender plant of love that is on the self. My wonderful husband got for me on the last day of the farmers market. What a sweetie!
