Awe! so sweet

So this morning I got Zoie and Isaac and I didnt want to get up right away so I put them in bed with Nathan and I, Im sure that you can guess that after that no one got much sleep. so I got up and went to take care of them and let Nathan sleep some more. Just a second agoI went in to ask Nathan a question and he was sleeping there so peacefully hugging... one of Zoies sippy cups. Zoie always likes to make sure that anyone sleeping has all of the necesities, sippy cups, bears, toys. when Isaac is sleeping we find all sorts of things piled on him to make his rest more restfull. I just thought that it was extra cute to see big grown up Nathan sleeping with a little pink sippy cup. Awe.
look, the face of innocence!
How were we blessed with such happy children!

Flat tire of DEATH!!!

Can I just say before we start that that is the best picture ever, it should be on a car comercial. So Last night we went out to eat with Richard in Idaho Falls and on our way home we had to drop off Rachel and Daniels phones to them, we went to Greenbriar, where they live, and than headed for home. About two blocks from their place Nathan said the car was driving funny and so he pulled over to check the tires. When he got out our passenger rear tire was completely, rim on the ground, flat. Our car thermometer was hovering between -9 and -4 and Nathan was wearing a light jacket, silly boy, but being the hero type he got out the spare and started changing the tire despite the danger of hypothermia. I gave him my coat (which is reddish and isnt super girly, it is sort of a parka thing) and my one glove and he told me to get in the car. He proceded to do an amazing job and changed our flat. after we got the spare on we noticed that it was sort of flat also but it was all we had and so we used it anyway. Today I took the car in and the tire people said that there was a razor blade in the tire. But they fixed it for free, nice tire people. That was our flat tire of DEATH adventure.

you cant tell verry well but that is our flat tire of DEATH!!!

Good times

Sorry it has taken me a while to get these out dad. Some of these pictures are from when my dad was here in December to pick up Shawn. We had such a great time having him here and Zoie especially loved it.
Zoie and Isaac love their Grandparents.
What a cutie, I cant believe that Isaac is getting so big. I love him so much.
Zoie has really taken to having a little brother, at toddler lab orientation she played mommie to about 5 little baby dolls. She fed them and rocked them, it was too cute.

Rollin, rollin, rollin

This is us remembering how nice and leafy and green summer can be, ahhh. So Isaac rolled over from his back to his front for the first time today. It happened while we were at breakfast, he was laying on the floor and rolled over. He could not get his hands free so I had to help him their but it was still a tremendous accomplishment.
In the way of other things new, yesterday I spent a while scrubbing mold off the bathroom ceiling fun, fun and pondering why our power bill is 150 dollars and all the others in the complex are much less. We are going to try to only run our dishwasher at night and see if that helps. Other than that not much else is new except the fog, I didnt know they had fog in Idaho, it reminds me of home.

Look Alike

So I was looking at old pictures of Zoie and thinking that she looks so much like Isaac, so I decided to post two pictures and see what everyone thinks. Do you know which is which?

Mom your trying to poison me!!!!!

So last night I Decided to give Isaac his first taste of real food, by that I mean baby rice cereal with formula mixed with it, I mixed it up and than put the bib on Isaac. Zoie came over to see what was going on and watched as I spooned the first delicious mouthful into Isaac's unsuspecting mouth. We were rewarded with such a face of discust that we could not help but laugh. Isaac acted as though I was trying to poison him in the worst way imaginable. With each spoonfull the face of discust was plain and I got Nathan to come over and watch. We had quite an enjoyable time taking pictures. Zoie was funny also in that she was upset becasue she didnt have any discusting glop to make faces about. So when it was determined that Isaac would have nothing more to do with his cereal I fed it to Zoie who ate it with less faces and more appreceation for all the hard work of making it then ever did Isaac. And that dear friends is our rice cereal adventure!!!!!

Munchkin Epic Battle

Our Christmas epic battle was a good one. Jen and Aaron came over and we combined all of our cards from Munchkin Booty, Bites, Fu, and Possible. the stack of door cards was 6in tall. The epic battle was a fierce one but in the end we could stop Aaron from total domination. Nathan had a card that allowed us to ad one point to the monster for every card we gave and we gave our all to stop him but alas it wasnt enough. He beet us with nothing on the table and nothing in our hands. That is a pretty sound victory. Dont be fooled, it was a close game until that point, all were at level 19 and so it was just a matter of time. Aaron made a killing in this most memorable Munchkin Epic Battle

Christmas

Nath

Happy New Year

I was looking at Jen and Aaron's blog and they did sort of a year over view and I thought that that was a really good idea so here is my attempt. New years last year was spent playing games with Katie and Tim Howell and we were having so much fun that we missed the turn of the new year by about 45 min, needless to say that this New years we were a little more on top of the time thing. So anyway we started of the year with the news that we were going to have another little baby and spending Christmas at my families place in Illinois it was hard to keep our happy news a secret but we managed. We finally told everyone about the baby at about 12 weeks along and they were so happy with us. While I was going through the pregnancy Zoie had her first birthday where she shoved cake and ice cream in her face with all the relish and abandon of a one year old. Her cousin Omni than celebrated her first birthday about three months later and we were able to be there with them to celebrate. Nathan spent the winter in school working hard on passing his classes as well as advancing his guild wars characters and playing with his new wii that he got for Christmas. Blackers was his job but it seemed that management was determined to make everyone's lives miserable and so in April Nathan decided to see if he could get a job with Tim Howell working at UPS. He was hired in June and worked there and on grounds through the summer. while Nathan was at school in the winter I worked on finishing my internship with the city of Rexburg Parks and Rec. Throughout the three months I worked there I helped get the Marathon and the Triathlon together. I than was finished in April and received my Bachelors in Recreation Leadership with a miners in Geography soon after. summer saw Zoie and I outside almost everyday and I got the best farmers tan I think that I have ever had. We made a lot of new friends with many of the other mothers and children in the complex and had a wonderful summer. In June Zoie and I went to the Rexburg Airshow and Zoie has loved planes since. I was pregnant throughout the summer and it was hot but than Isaac was born and our lives were changed again. he was born at 12:13pm August 27 2008 just one long week after his due date. This put him just over 18 months younger than Zoie. Bringing him home was hard work but luckily my wonderful mother came and helped out for two weeks and in that time I was able to adjust to the changes again. Zoie welcomed her new little brother into our home fairly well and has learned to love him I think. She still only calls him Baby but we have hopes that some day she will call him Isaac(hehe). The fall semester came quickly after Isaac was born and Nathan plunged once again into mounds of homework and school. He had many hard classes and struggled to get everything done but came out in the end proud of all his work and all that he learned. Work for him at UPS skyrocketed after Thanksgiving and saw him loading trucks at as early as 1:30am. I don't know how he did it but we are all very grateful for all he did. During the fall Zoie and Isaac and I went to a Toddler Group with people from the complex and had tuns of fun. We as a family also started having Family home evenings with our friends from the ward the Browns and the Englishes. At these FHE's we learned many new games like Munchkins, Hero scape, Blockis and Bohnanza. For the close of the year we spent Christmas here and Nathan and I were able to escape to Lava for our third anniversary. We spent two days marinating and relaxing while Nathans family was kind enough to watch our children. Christmas was fun and we hosted a White Elephant exchange at our apartment with some friends and than had another one with Nathans family on Christmas eve. Christmas day brought a snow storm that closed roads in much of Southeast Idaho but didn't keep us from going to Nathans parents house to play games. Finally New years was spent playing games with friends and we didn't miss the turning of the year this time although Zoie and Isaac did, and will for a few more years. That was our 2008 in a nutshell, Enjoy
